It was very, very quiet. All the neighborhood
Saturday lawncare was done and my dog was
asleep in the backyard in the afternoon.
In this piece I will let sleeping dogs lie if
they want. Most importantly, the dog
must have integrity. There is something
very nice and important about the way dogs
teach the teachable about honesty. I actually
would prefer to live next door to an honest
dog rather than a dishonest person who
talks too much.
Amazingly similar to a Texas tornado in
heat, my less than truthful neighbor
came charging through my unlocked back
gate and woke up my dog. Of course he
growled and barked because an honest dog
is puzzled when a human with an integrity
problem is still amazingly full of sincere
breath. My dog stared at him with a puzzled
look on his little face, wondering why my
corpse of a neighbor somehow still gets fed
everyday.
